Feeling Nauseated on a Raw Food Diet

Last night I was on Day 3 and I got very sick. I am still in my 10th week of pregnancy and I guess my morning sickness wasn’t completely gone. I ended up throwing up and it felt like I was throwing up pure acid. It burned so badly.
Normally that would have caused me to quit, but not this time… I am determined to stick with this even if I do keep throwing up and having nausea. I know it is my body’s way of detoxifying. Plus, I was throwing up when I was eating bad anyway so it is not a huge difference.
Yesterday I did very well on the diet. I snacked on fruits and veggies throughout the day… I also had two nice big green smoothies. The only cooked food I had was homemade flax bread that I used to make a few lettuce, tomatoe and avocado sandwiches.
I have not weighed myself yet, I think I will only do that about once a week since weight is not the reason I am doing this. Weight loss should never be a focus during pregnancy.
Today I slept in until 10:30 AM! I must have been very tired. Hopefully my body got some repairing and cleansing done. When I got up I went and made a green smoothie with organic spring mix greens, frozen bananas and mixed berries.
We have several ripe Avocados so I plan on taking full advantage of those today. I absolutely adore Avocados!
From what I understand, Days 3 & 4 are the hardest to get through. I got through yesterday… now I just need to get through Day 4 today. I am confident that I will do it.
Amy, it is nice to meet you and Annette. Your 5th child, wow, good for you. I hope your nausea isn’t so bad for too much longer, i remember it well. You are doing such a great thing for yourself and your baby with these raw ingredients. Good job!! Try to hang in there with the morning sickness. I thought it would never go away, i didn’t want to wake up int he morning, it was so bad……but eventually you feel better day by day and it WILL pass.
Glad to be here…..
