Blogging my Raw Journey

I am attempting a raw food lifestyle. I have read many inspiring stories and I want to be one of them. I have dealt with a lot of obstacles in my life, which is true for everyone, but I want to conquer as many of them as I can. I have many people who are ready to help me with this challenge.
I have quite a bit of weight to lose, and I will document that as well as how I feel from day to day. Last night I was not feeling well at all, and was very tired this morning. I am now eating a yummy fruit salad for breakfast and feeling my energy come back. I plan to add more greens to my diet today to see if that will make a difference.
I am not in a position to be able to make these fancy, expensive transitional gourmet raw foods, I am just taking this simply and on a tight budget. So, if you want to follow me, you may not learn much, but you may have a laugh or two.
Hi Annette, just read your blog, i am new here, and i am with you. I’ve been reading a lot and have not managed to really “stick” with this for very long, but i’m at a point now where I have to do something because i’m 55 and my health is going to go to pot eating the junk that i eat.
Like you, i don’t make fancy meals, or do any raw cooking, i did invest in a Vitamix so that when i make a smoothie i feel like i’ve made an elaborate meal!! Otherwise i eat salads, smoothies, nuts and seeds and so on. Glad to meet you!!!

Hi Gaby,
Thank you so much for your comment….and you are a step ahead of me, I just have a simple blender, but I am saving up for a Blendtec or Vitamix. I hope you will keep following and please give me any input that you think will help…We can support one another. ;0)
Hey Annette,
when i started, i had a very small Cuisinart, the kind that chops up onions. It was great for one drink at a time, a little full, but it will chop up spinach and bananas and stuff like that. I wouldn’t put big ice cubes in it. So i learned to mix stuff up in that. Can i ask you, how did you manage to put your picture in your comments, i have tried everything, i just can’t figure it out.

I have a pretty good blender, just not a fancy one like Amy’s. The way to put your picture up is with a gravatar….here is a link.

I am feeling a bit hungry now, trying to decide what to eat.
Hi Annette, i set up an entire account, selected a cute picture of a cow, and for the life of me i can’t figure out anything more. It doesn’t do anything! That picture is no place.
